Level 5 - Practical Life Skills B1

This level focuses on developing the functional English necessary to confidently and independently handle real-life situations. Through essential topics such as public services, reading bills, digital security, online shopping, basic procedures, and risk prevention, this level strengthens the student's ability to understand practical information, make informed decisions, and communicate clearly and effectively in everyday contexts. In addition, it expands the ability to identify reliable sources, recognize warning signs in the environment, and use digital tools responsibly. The goal is to turn language into a direct tool for daily management, allowing students to interact with services, perform simple procedures, and stay safe in physical and digital spaces.

Throughout the learning process, students acquire essential vocabulary to talk about the services they use at home, interpret amounts and due dates on bills, evaluate whether information on the internet is reliable, and explain what community services are for. They also learn to complete basic processes on digital platforms, describe the steps of an online purchase, choose secure payment methods, and protect their personal information with practical strategies. In relation to safety, they develop the ability to identify risks in public places, recognize suspicious situations, create online protection rules, and develop checklists to maintain a safe home. Finally, they incorporate simple structures to make predictions and reflect on future possibilities, thus expanding their communication skills.

This level guides students toward a more autonomous and conscious use of English, facilitating their ability to make responsible decisions and complete everyday tasks with greater confidence.
