Level 2 identity and expression - (B1)
This level invites students to explore how English can express personality, preferences and self-image through topics related to style, appearance, body language, emotions, movement and social habits. The content is practical and engaging, creating a space where learners talk about how they look, how they feel, and how they perceive others, while discovering the connection between language, identity and everyday interaction. The learning environment promotes curiosity, self-awareness and a deeper understanding of how expression goes beyond words, including gestures, colors, impressions and attitudes.
The level encourages students to communicate with confidence when describing themselves and others, expressing emotions, interpreting social signals and commenting on behaviours they observe. Students develop a more intuitive and personal relationship with the language, allowing English to support conversations that are meaningful, expressive and socially relevant. The intention is that communication becomes more authentic, helping learners participate naturally in situations where appearance, attitudes and first impressions play an important role.
Throughout the level, students strengthen the ability to describe physical features, talk about style, body movement, facial expressions, colours and emotions, while relating these elements to memories, preferences and reactions. They learn how to comment on what they notice, interpret simple signs, explain how people seem, and respond appropriately in social situations. Vocabulary connected to personality, appearance and behaviour expands, helping students build richer descriptions, share personal impressions and maintain fluent, friendly interactions in everyday contexts.
